twenty-something soon

In a few days, another year will end for me. Yes, I’ll be turning twenty-something on the twelfth day of the twelfth month. On that day, I’ll be a year older, but none the wiser (hah!). Another year of memories burned in my subconscious, waiting their turn to be remembered and used for some reason in the future: places, events, moments, images, songs and of course, people. This year, just like any before it, will come to pass, again leaving me wondering: Did I matter?

I’m a confessed introvert. Even one of my Titas even commented “Itong si Dondon, palaging gustong mag-isa” (Oo, Dondon ang palayaw ko, ang layo noh?). Having said that, I don’t know what effect I have to others, let alone know if I mattered to them. There’s nothing more pathetic than passing through this life knowing that you did not matter. So, to all that have been part of my life this year, thank you just for being there, I just hope that even for the smallest of reasons, I did matter to you.

To my family: Daddy, Mommy, Tin, Bong, gift ko ha? At mahal ko kayo..

To all my friends from the distant past to the present, you know who you are, kahit hindi na tayo nakakapag-usap dahil sa distansya at mga pagkakataon, salamat sa inyo..

At siyempre, sa inyong mga blogista (ganun na din sa mga bumibisita) na walang sawang pumapatol sa mga walang kakwenta-kwentang bagay na sinusulat ko dito. Salamat sa inyo..

"Life is not the amount of breathes you take, its the moments that take your breathe away" - i've had a few, and im looking forward to what next year would offer me. Somehow, i get this feeling that after the twelfth, things would change for me.

Happy Birthday to me. And may you have a happy holidays too. One thing i dont like when your birthday is on December is peolpe tend to give you gifts and tell you that it already includes their gift for Christmas. I dont want to be a materialistic jerk, but thats kinda unfair (hah!)
